On February 20, Schneider led the Cougars in winning the Central Jersey Public A Championship over Toms River North. East won the meet 117-53, as Schneider won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke races individually. This championship advanced the Cougars to the state semifinals. In the state semifinals versus Morristown High School on February 24, Schneider won the 50 freestyle, which was one of the three individual races the Cougars won. In the state semifinals, the Cougars tied Morristown, but eventually lost in the tie-break.
