Today, January 20, 2009, Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America.  East students and faculty had the special opportunity to view the procession of the inauguration between roughly 11 am and 12:45 pm. Students classes’ were made shorter and the school day was changed to a Day 0 in order to accommodate for the historic event.  Members of the East community viewed the inauguration in the auditorium, little theater, library, cafeteria 1 and 2.  Any student that did not want to view the event was allowed to go to the DiBart gym for the allotted time period.
