Senior Perspective: Marcus Phillips

When I came to East at the middle of my freshman year, I had no idea what was in store for me.  I didn’t know a single person and had no idea what to expect.  After four years of personal growth and fond friendships, I cherish the memories of late night walks to Wawa with friends, stimulating study groups and the great education that I obtained at East.

The experiences I have had at East are truly life changing and I wouldn’t be the person that I am today without them. Whether it is the accomplishments that I’ve earned with my teammates on the track team or getting the honor to go to Boys State, I know that East offers the ultimate high school experience if your effort is there.

As the end of senior year approaches, I constantly hear moans and groans of “I can’t wait to graduate and move on.” I actually feel completely the opposite.   While I do know it is necessary to move on with our lives, I feel that I will never have as much fun as I have at East. Now that I have more responsibility and freedom as a senior, I feel that I’ve just begun to truly appreciate high school.
