Project East proves to be a success

As school has officially begun, last night, Friday, September 25 marked the annual back-to-school dance. However, this was no ordinary event at East.

Dressed in all black, students from all grades made an appearance. “Project East” was a major success. The cafeteria was blacked out to the max and the strobe lights took over the dance floor. Colorful glow-in-the-dark paraphernalia added color to the room as the students danced the night away.

DJ Jackie Buhl, former East student, ignited the speakers with his EDM beats. Oftentimes, the quality of music is a complaint amongst students, however, that was surely not the case last night.

This dance definitely set the tone for the great school year we all have ahead of us. School spirit is what East is all about, and students were seen with smiling faces and dancing feet for three straight hours.

School president, Brett Dashevsky (’16), had high hopes that Project East would go down as one of the most historic nights in East history, and it most definitely did.
