Israel Awareness Club holds first meeting

The first meeting of the Israel Awareness Club was held today in C306. Around twenty people attended the meeting and were greeted with Israeli food. Presidents Ilana Levinson (’11), Shira Solomon (’11) and Amanda Balakirsky (’11), presented the main goals and activities in which the club will participate.

The objectives of the Israel Awareness Club are to teach advocacy skills and to keep people up to date with current events related to the State of Israel.

They hope to be able to form a delegation to go an American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) meeting in the future and to participate in other Israel advocacy events. In addition, the club will host sessions with guest speakers that are open to anyone wishing to attend.
