In this episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the gals set out to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The episode starts as the wives start packing for this five-day getaway. Teresa, being the diva that she is, won the contest for packing the most bags with a total of nine; she packs one for shoes, one for jewelry and additionally seven others for clothes.  They arrive on the Island in high spirits until Teresa’s Jewelry suitcase goes missing. After having a few drinks at the airport, The Wakile’s, Manzo’s Laurita’s, Gorga’s, and Giudace’s all proceed to the hotel in four Cadillac Escalades.

On the way to the hotel, Teresa is put in a car with her brother Joe, Cousins Kathy and Rich, and sister-in-law Melissa. Their previous arguments are brought up, but Teresa, Melissa and Kathy make it clear that this trip is to rekindle their family and put their arguments behind them. As this car ride comes to an end, Joe Giudice has to go to the bathroom on the side of the road. Melissa screams out, “Show some class!” Alas, all of the guys on the trip get out and join Joe soon enough.

Finally, the cast mates arrive at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana. With high hopes the next day the clan spends the morning on a beautiful and relaxing boat ride. The day starts out smooth sailing, but things start to get rocky when Teresa leaves Rich hanging when he tries to give her a high five. As Richie reached out for a hive five, just to make a friendly gesture, Teresa backs away. Richie, as usual, just ignores Teresa’s obnoxiousness. The boat anchors and the guys decide to take a dip. Unfortunately, They miss the warning that the water is only three feet deep.

After everyone gets back to the island after enjoying such a relaxing day, the crew goes to the beach to enjoy the nice sunset. Everyone knows the day cannot go this smoothly without a fight breaking out. As the girls sit on the beach the topic of opening up a restaurant is brought up for discussion. Kathy innocently says that she does not know if she could “disengage” from her kids to put in all the hours it takes to make a restaurant work. Teresa manipulates and changes this thought as she accuses Kathy of leaving her children “unattended,” specifically referring to the time when Audriana, one of Teresa’s four girls, was left unattended during the fight at Melissa and Joey’s son’s christening earlier in the season. Joe finally ends the fight by screaming, “Shut up!” Joe takes Teresa back inside the hotel to cool off and to end the constant yapping.

The episode ends here with a preview of Melissa singing her debut On Display.
