Apple picking is one of the fun activities at Johnson’s Corner Farm.

Hayrides, apple-picking, pumpkins, and more! That’s right, it’s that time of year again, fall. Whether with friends or family, over at Johnson’s Corner Farm you can find the perfect fall activity for everyone. Along with having a great time, major precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of you and your loved ones due to COVID-19 so you can enjoy a nice fall day while staying safe.

This past weekend, I took a trip to Johnson’s Corner Farm to check out the autumn festivities. Upon arrival, I purchased tickets for the hayride feature on their easy-to-navigate website. Many of the time slots were sold out so I recommend buying tickets in advance if interested in taking a trip to the farm.
Although it was very warm outside, the entire farm greeted me with delightful fall scents and decorations. As I walked through the entrance, helpful signs showed the path to the hayride, where I waited in line along with other families, all distanced by six feet. The hayride was very well distanced, and only a specific number of people were allowed to ride at a time.
Two stops were made during the trip: apple picking and pumpkin picking. I walked through groves of apple trees to find the perfect ones and ended up taking two home. I did not purchase any pumpkins, but it was a great sight. At this stop, two more features were offered to guests. There was an exciting corn maze, fun for people of all ages, as well as a sunflower picking section filled with stunning, yellow flowers perfect for photo-ops and picking. The sunflower picking costs extra, but it adds lots of fun to the day. The hayride was very exciting and I also purchased fresh fruit!

Although we are going through this unprecedented pandemic, Johnson’s Corner Farm has taken many precautions to make the experience fun and safe for guests.
Employee Ariana Sauceda says, “Something we didn’t have before are reservations for our playground, animal farm, and our hayrides. We keep it at a certain amount of people per hayride for social distancing. Our tables are all socially distanced, and we also limit the capacity inside the store.”
Sauceda helps show all of the precautions that the farm is taking to ensure that guests are comfortable and happy. Additionally, masks are required during your entire visit at the farm.
For some fun and safe fall activities, Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford is definitely the place to go. You can visit the website at or visit the farm at 133 Church Rd, Medford, NJ 08055.
