Haddonfield is a small and quaint town filled with tons of history dating back to 1682. The town flaunts its 200 small shops that one can visit. Haddonfield holds many events during the year, but is especially vibrant when the holidays come around. Haddonfield’s Signature Candlelight Shopping Celebration is one of the town’s best events and takes place during the winter holidays. This year the Haddonfield Candlelight Shopping Experience has been going on since Friday, November 27th and continues through Friday, December 18th.   The celebration includes visits with Santa, horse drawn carriage rides and live entertainment.

“The holidays are everyone’s favorite time of year in Haddonfield. The gift of giving is an amazing feeling so why not spend time with loved ones and holiday shop in Haddonfield during our town’s Candlelight Shopping event,” said Remi Fortunato, Retail Coordinator for the Partnership for Haddonfield. “You [will] find the perfect gift at one of our downtown’s 200 distinctive shops, restaurants or boutiques,” she added.

At Haddonfield’s Candlelight Shopping Celebration everything is so beautifully lit; there are many sparkly lights which make it look very picturesque. The little shops that occupied Kings Highway were filled with light and color during the event; families could also be seen walking around together shopping, going on the horse drawn carriage rides and seeing Santa. Additionally, there were groups of local people with matching outfits caroling while giving out bells so others could also sing along. The happy atmosphere was very warming and made the customers feel at home. One man sat on a bench playing the Australian wind instrument the didgeridoo. People gathered around in awe watching someone play an instrument that they have never heard before.

Shopping at the Haddonfield Candlelight Shopping Celebration was the pinnacle of holiday entertainment with a small, inclusive feel.
